Charles F. Haanel (1866-1949) was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan and began his business career in St. Louis. The most famous of these books was The Master Key System, a series of twenty-four lessons. Napoleon Hill, the famous author and teacher, identified The Master Key System as being largely responsible for his own success. By 1933, 200,000 copies of the book had sold worldwide.
