The third edition of "Introduction to Development Economics" provides a detailed analysis of the major economic issues confronting less developed countries. The author keeps a balance between the theories of economic growth and the realities of economic development. Although the basics remain, the past few years have witnessed changes in emphasis and the rise of new areas of interest. The new edition takes account of these changes.
